Via Sensoria, a Sensory tasting journey
Sessions are offered in French, English or Spanish for the best possible experience for everyone.
From April 1st to November 2nd 2025, let yourself be carried away by a unique tasting experience!
This new edition of Via Sensoria invites you to reconnect with the rhythm of the four seasons, while stimulating your senses.
Taste 4 glasses of wine or non-alcoholic beverages.
For an hour, give free rein to your senses through original and surprising tasting games, while savouring the treasures that each season has to offer. This journey through artistic installations, combining visual, sound, olfactory and poetic creations, will be punctuated by a variety of intuitive or geo-sensory tastings. You'll be able to discover four wines from different regions of the world or non-alcoholic drinks selected according to the season.
In a small group (maximum 15 people), you'll be accompanied by a passionate wine steward, whose origins will often reflect the diversity of the Cité du Vin's wine-producing partners!
Immerse yourself in this unique world and let yourself be surprised by the richness of your feelings! Wine is a multi-sensory experience which, through its aromas, flavours, texture and colour, embodies the diversity of nature while reflecting the expertise of the men and women who create it.
Practical information
Booking a time slot
You need to choose a day and time to buy your ticket.
Please arrive in front of the Via Sensoria room (on the 1st floor) 10 minutes before the reserved time. Latecomers will not be able to take part in the experiment.
Important information
The Via Sensoria experience is different from and complementary to that of the Permanent Exhibition and requires a dedicated ticket.
If you wish to access the Cité du Vin Belvedere, you must purchase a ticket for the Permanent Exhibition. And thanks to the combined ticket, you benefit from a 30% discount on the Exhibition.
Via Sensoria can be enjoyed as a family (from 6 years old), but we would remind parents that they remain responsible for their children's good behaviour, so as not to disrupt the experience of the other participants.
Drinks tasted
In the spring pavilion, a white wine from the Loire Valley and the Sauvignon Blanc grape or a grapefruit syrup.
In the summer pavilion, Clairet, a historic wine, emblematic of the Bordeaux region, or cherry-hibiscus fizz.
In the autumn pavilion, a red wine from Georgia, made from the Saperavi grape variety or a cassis syrup.
In the winter pavilion, a sweet Szamorodni wine from Hungary or a peach nectar. An orange-flavoured chocolate will accompany these tastings.
Wine tastings are reserved for over-18s, with non-alcoholic drinks available for minors.
To find out more
Via Sensoria is a soothing experience, a sensory interlude where four artistic universes echo surprising tastings of wines from four regions of the world or non-alcoholic drinks, combined with visual, sound, olfactory and poetic creations.
This is not a tasting workshop, nor is it a traditional or immersive exhibition. It's a unique sensory experience!
The experience takes place over an hour, accompanied by a wine expert.
Whether you're a beginner or a novice, a wine lover or not, adults and children alike can get to grips with this journey which, far from the conventional codes of wine tasting, offers surprising combinations of artistic environments and a selection of wines from around the world and non-alcoholic beverages.
6 original poems, specially created for this experience, also punctuate the route, to complete this dreamlike work.
Via Sensoria takes you on a journey to the rhythm of the seasons, with a relaxing offer that's resolutely turned towards nature. From dawn to dusk, take a day-long journey through Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
